Digital Operations
How to delegate and oversee digital work as a business grows
Replace founder-dependent tasks with documented ownership, access controls and weekly reporting.
· Digital Department
Separate the task from the person
If only the founder knows a process, growth creates a bottleneck. Document repeated tasks with steps, tools, expected outputs and exception rules. Delegate frequent, sales-critical work first.
Pair access with oversight
Use individual accounts and roles instead of shared passwords. Set approval limits for budgets, prices and customer data. The business should own its domain, ad and payment accounts.
- Task and decision owner
- Access and two-factor authentication
- Incident escalation time
- Weekly output and open-work report
Measure the transition
In the first month, monitor completion, issue resolution and the owner’s management time. The goal is an operation the business can inspect and direct.
